How we can help students from examination phobia

One of the very famous quotations- “Education is not the key to success but knowledge is.”  Gaining knowledge is the journey from learning moral science to rocket science where as education also involves moral science but is focused on rocket science. Education is what one peruses in school, coaching centers or any educational institutions. With providing education we come across a fact that not every student is same in any aspect. They differ from interests, capabilities, grasping power or expressing power.

From the view point of students they only devastating factor of education they feel is that of examination. Not because they are tough but because they are a factor which brings in the judgmental point or a comparison among the students and this fear of being less than others or being in competent or non compatible in the growing competition builds a sort of fear among them because of which they are afraid of examinations and this fear is known as examination phobia.
To overcome this phobia, some tips that the students should follow are:

·       Revision

Proper revision of the topics is necessary so that the student becomes confident about the concepts. Thorough revision helps in covering every single aspect and help student to answer with ease.
·
      Prepare bullet points

While preparing for examinations always prepare answers or notes in bullet points which makes it easier for the student to remember the content.
·
        Plan a time table

Always study according to time table. Fix a time for studies as well as time for relaxing. Never keep on studying the same subject for a longer time. Always take  two subjects simultaneously.
·
           Set targets

Set targets for your day. To complete a certain portion of subject in a particular time of the day. That help you cover your course on time.
·
           Use highlighters

Always use highlighters to mark the most important points so that for the second time when you start revising you only focus on the important points.

·       Use flow charts

Put the habit of learning the complex topics through flow charts so that it makes the distribution or sorting easy and helps you to remember the bullets.

·       Solve pervious question papers

Once you are prepared with the topics start solving previous years question papers within a time limit of 3 hours. This helps you build your confidence and makes you more sure about your preparations.

·       Prepare notes

While preparing for exams prepare your own notes. Your own words, language, comfort and every other aspect. Preparing your own notes will help you remember the concept the the time of revision.

·       Proper time to relax

Never stress yourself a day or a night before examination. This leads to build a chaos in your mind and confuses you.

·       Avoid  studying till last moment

Last moment study is very confusing. Never keep studying till the last moment. This confuses you with the topics and you end up creating a mess in examination.
