How Students can Groom Themselves With the Practical Approach of Their Studies?
We have always seen and learnt that life teaches us more lessons than any educational institution. On every stage, life keeps on teaching us lessons. To come up with flying colors in the growing competitive world, with gaining knowledge and studies it is equally important for them to make themselves capable of using their knowledge to solve the problems they face in real life.
Every student invests his 15 years of life in studying. All those educational institutions help the student to know his interests, hidden talents and capabilities. Further it helps the student to make himself compatible of fighting the competition in terms of academic knowledge. Lets divide the 15 years of education life in 5 major parts:
1) Pre- primary education
All the small kids that enter the education institutions newly are a part of pre-primary education. This includes – play groups, nursery and junior as well as senior kindergartens. We have seen, these kids are generally taught say for eg- sharing is caring. For the same, the teachers even conduct activities where within class students share their things with their friends. On the contrary, to help them learn the concept they should be loosened from their comfort zones and should be interacted with people out there who are actually in need of your help and who genuinely require you share to have a better life.
2) Primary education
This part of education involves the classes from 1st grade to 5th grade. Here in their studies, they are made familier with their surroundings and the basic education that is required in daily routine. The basic mathematical operations, regular English and studies about the environment. The students can easily relate their topics to the surroundings. Secondly with these subjects, schools coincide some additional subjects like general knowledge, moral science etc. where they are enhanced with the overall knowledge related to the country or the world that has already been done in the past. With this part if the students are made to practice and discuss the daily controvercies or the daily happenings of the country it helps them keep updated with the day to day goings which further help them to read newspapers which is a lagging point in today’s generation kids.
3) Middle school
Students promoted to 6th grade enter the middle school till they clear 8th grade. How here they get the extra education which they never get to use in their further life. All the theories and knowledge they gain here are no more applicable to their practical life. These are the classes to educate a child with the minute but essentials parts of the components that we regularly deal with.
4) Higher education
Now, these are the studies which play the utmost important role in any student’s life. Here the students are actually educated with what they have to deal with in their corporate life and where and how they have to apply their knowledge. But here this “how” factor is somewhere lagged by the schools as they only provide the theoretical knowledgefor head, to make them really understand the ways or the kind of situations they may actually face, they should be given a practical practice or experience where they can learn to use their concepts in appropriate ways and at appropriate times.
Schools or colleges play a major role to make the child stand with the growing competition and to make the child feel competent in the crowd where he can feel confident and stand tall. The only point where they can more focus is to teach the child on “how to think” rather that “what to think.”
